Dr. Robert Petrella is the new Beryl and Richard Ivey Research Chair in Aging, Rehabilitation, and Geriatric Care (ARGC) at the University of Western Ontario, as well as, Program Leader for ARGC at the Lawson Health Research Institute. He is Medical Director of the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging, Past President of the Canadian Coaltion for High Blood Pressure Prevention and Control. more

Dr. Cheril Clarson is an Associate Professor at the University of Western Ontario (UWO). Her current clinical responsibilities include working with a diabetes team that provides service to almost 700 children and adolescents with diabetes in Southwestern Ontario. Dr. Clarson coordinated the establishment of a Diabetes Outreach Program from CHWO providing clinical services and mentoring for diabetes health professionals in Sarnia, Chatham and Stratford. more

Dr. Christopher G. Ellis. Professor and Graduate Chair, Medical Biophysics, Scientist, Program in Vascular Biology/Inflammation Group, Lawson Health Research Institute, Adjunct Professor, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, University of Western Ontario. Dr. Ellis' research focuses on microvasculature health and oxygen transfer between red blood cells and surrounding tissue. He is heavily involved in the development of new image analysis tools for investigating microvasculature using intravital video microscopy. more

Professor David Hill is presently Scientific Director at the Lawson Health Research Institute (LHRI), London, Ontario which is Canada's third largest research institute. He holds the Lawson Professorship in Diabetes Research and is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. more

Dr. David Holdsworth is a Career Investigator with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, with funding to investigate the use of advanced Doppler ultrasound techniques to characterize diseased blood vessels leading to the brain. more

Dr. Earl Noble is the incumbent Director of Kinesiology, University of Western Ontario, studies the effects of exercise (or lack thereof) as an agent to force adaptation in muscular and cardiovascular systems with emphasis on rodent models and the microbiology of protein adaptations that affect protection against a catastrophic insult.

Dr. Linda Miller received her PhD in Psychology with a discipline specialty in measurement. She has been a
member of the School of Occupational Therapy since 1996 and has held a number of administrative
roles, including Graduate Chair for the School of Occupational Therapy and Co-Chair of the Doctoral
Program in Rehabilitation Sciences. She has served as the Associate Dean (Scholarship) of the
Faculty of Health Sciences since 2003. more

Dr. Kevin Shoemaker Associate Professor of Exercise Physiology, has received Canadian and international New Investigator awards, as well as the Premier's Research Excellence Award, for his innovative research in autonomic cardiovascular control, physical exercise and deconditioning with applications in health and disease. He will coordinate activities in the Neurovascular components of the research with senior leadership into the recording and interpretation of sympathetic nervous system data. more
